In our first week since the release of First Aid (Hospitals), it has been downloaded hundreds of times, and in 26 countries even though the database only currently lists U.S hospitals. This is better than I had anticipated, especially for our first application offering. You can see screenshots on the FirstAid page.
The feedback I’ve gotten has also been invaluable. It has brought to light that there are at least two inaccuracies in the database that will be addressed soon. But more importantly it has prompted a feature enhancement for the next release. User’s will have the ability to submit edits to hospital information. Once the edits have been verified it will be added to the production database and available to everyone. It is absolutely vital that the accuracy of the information in the database be as accurate as possible.
It has also become evident that the need for international support is something that we shouldn’t have overlooked. So also with the next release the database will begin international support.

- First Aid (Unlimited) – an updated version of the original application that contains additional information like the location of Minor Emergency Clinics, an indicator showing after hours clinics and medical services, Emergency Dental Clinics, and additional support information about each listing in the database. (Release date 04.15.2010)
